In the summer months, you can cool off in one of the many lakeside bathing spots and swimming pools in the surrounding area. For example, you can enjoy a refreshing dip in Emmen, Ebikon, Luzern, Meggen, Vitznau, Weggis, or various other lovely spots. Ask us for more information at reception.

Lucerne is a centre for nightlife and parties, with numerous clubs, pubs and bars where you can enjoy yourself till the early hours of the morning. Afterwards, public transport offers a safe and inexpensive way of getting back to the motel. Information about Lucerne’s nightlife can be found at reception.

The Maxx Cinema in  Emmenbrücke (Seetalplatz) offers excellent entertainment just a few minutes from the Motel Brüggli. The cinema has 8 screens, showing the latest Hollywood blockbusters as well as independent films. Eat at McDonalds, Subway or Sam’s Pizza. Definitely worth a visit!

The Emmen Center, 5 minutes from the Motel Brüggli, is the largest shopping centre in Central Switzerland. It houses over 80 shops and numerous restaurants and cafés. With H&M, C&A, Beldona, Vögele, Desigual, Lacoste, PKZ, Schild and Street One, you’ll also find a number of internationally known names.

The nearby Swiss Museum of Transport (Verkehrshaus) in Lucerne is the most diverse museum of transport and communication in Europe, and also has the highest visitor numbers in Switzerland. Look at locomotives, cars, boats and aeroplanes, or visit the planetarium, the film theatre or the Swiss Chocolate Adventure.

Central Switzerland is a superb destination for skiing, snowboarding and tobogganing. Skiing areas with guaranteed snow cover such as Klewenalp, Engelberg Titlis or Melchseefrutt can be reached easily by car or by public transport from the Motel Brüggli. Ask for information and maps at reception.

Central Switzerland is an absolute paradise for walkers. Popular walking spots such as Rigi, Pilatus, Klewenalp, Bürgenstock or the Jakobsweg are easy to reach from the Motel Brüggli. We’ll be pleased to give you more detailed information and walking maps at reception.

Hangar13 is a sports and recreation centre for the whole family, and is located just 5 minutes’ drive from the Motel Brüggli. Play paintball or have fun in the Laser Arena. Children can let off steam in the Kids Arena. We have information on Hangar13 at reception.
